In my mind, self-compassion is an essential skill to practice if you want to achieve your goals and develop resilience. Everything changes when you are able to practice putting aside the self-judgment that gets in the way of your ability to clearly look back at your “failures.” Suddenly, instead of these being reasons to beat yourself up, they become opportunities for learning and growth.
